Mustangs Impress At Chile Pepper

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (SMU) - The SMU cross country team finished 20th at the 2010 Chile Pepper Festival Saturday morning. Six of the seven Mustang runners set personal bests in the 5k race hosted by the University of Arkansas.

Leading the Mustangs was sophomore Mary Alenbratt coming in 20th place with a time of 17:25. Aasha Marietta and Lovisa Lindh followed not too far behind with the recording time of 18:25.

Next in for SMU, Caitlin Keen finished the course with a time of 18:59. Rounding out the Mustangs, Catriona McClowry finished at 19:08; Laura Pacifico at 19:10 and Stephanie Wright at 19:42.

The Mustangs return to the track on Nov. 1 at the Conference USA Championships in Tulsa, Okla.
