SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii (SMU) - A tough second round saw the SMU men's golf team slip to sixth place on Thursday at John Burns Intercollegiate at Leilehua Golf Course. The No. 25 Mustangs shot a team 292, 14 shots higher than their round-one total, and trail leader Cal by 12 shots heading into Friday's final round.
Individually, SMU's Kelly Kraft and Ben Tewes continue to play well, as both are tied for third at 6-under 138 and are just two shots off the lead.
The 17-team tournament concludes Friday.
