SMU-TCU Full Results

MANSFIELD, (SMU) - The SMU equestrian team had its last "home" game of the regular season, Friday, falling to TCU 7-5. The contest was held at TCU's Fieldstone Park due to the collapse of SMU's covered arena last month, with SMU the host school for the competition.

With the damage to their home facility, Buck Branch Farm, the Mustangs were able to practice very little during the last three weeks. Despite the lack of practice, Morgan Toal and Danielle Gersh each picked up their first victories away from Wilmer. Toal won the equitation on the flat, 69-61 while Gersh won the event in a tight 77-76 contest.

Mallory Olson earned MVP honors in the equitation over fences with a strong showing of 82, beating her TCU opponent by a margin of five points (82-77).

SMU will return to action on March 26 in its regular season finale against Tennesee-Martin. Earlier this season, SMU defeated UTM 6-5.
