SMU Falls To No. 5 Portland

PORTLAND (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team fell to No. 5 Portland 2-0 Friday night in Portland. The Mustang defense held strong, allowing just two goals as the Pilots fired off 16 shots.

Goalkeeper Courtney Webb made five saves on the night for SMU. Portland forward Danielle Foxhaven netted both goals for the home team. The Mustangs registered three shots in the game, two on goal and the third blocked in front of the net.

Portland is coming off a season in which they went 21-2-0, including a 13-0-0 mark at home. The Pilots reached the NCAA quarterfinals last year, where they fell 2-1 to UCLA.
