ATLANTA (SMU) – SMU women's soccer players
Brooke Bunton and
Kamiya Beck were named to the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team Pinatar Cup 2026 roster announced by U.S. Soccer on Thursday.
The Pinatar Cup 2026 will be held in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain on February 25-March 6. Team USA will play two matches, both at the Pinatar Arena, taking on the Sweden U-18 WNT on March 3 and the Hungary U-19 WNT on March 6.
The winner of the round-robin competition will be determined on total points, with three for a win, one for a tie and zero for a loss. The tiebreakers are 1) best goal difference, 2) most goals scored, 3) best Fair Play Ranking, 4) Best FIFA ranking and then 5) drawing lots.
Bunton, a redshirt freshman and Beck, a freshman who will play her first minutes as a Mustang this fall, both have experience at previous U.S. youth national team camps and have been a part of the U.S. soccer youth team system for many years in their young careers. Bunton was most recently called up to participate at the US Soccer's U-18/U-19 Women's National Team Domestic Training Camp in November of 2025, while Beck earned a call up to attended US Soccer's U17 Spring 2025 National Camp.
This will be the first international action of the year for U.S. U-18 WNT head coach Toni Pressley's squad. All 20 players on this roster were born in 2008. Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, are age-eligible for the 2026 FIFA Women's U-20 World Cup in Poland, but that roster will likely include mostly 2006 and 2007-born players.
