Box Score vs. North Texas 
DENTON, Texas (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team defeated North Texas 3-2 in overtime Friday night. The Mustangs twice rebounded from one goal deficits to grab the win. Ryanne Lewis and Shelby Hartweck scored in regulation for the Mustangs, and Logan May tallied the game-winner.
"That was the one thing I thought today before the game; we had not had to come back yet," said head coach Brent Erwin. "There are certain things you have to do during the year and one of them is come back in a game."
Lewis netted her first goal of the season in the 43rd minute. She volleyed the ball at the edge of the 18-yard box to tie the game at one.
Hartweck added a goal in the 74th minute, scoring from eight yards out on a volley, to force overtime. The goal was her first of the season.
May scored the game-winner in the 95th minute for the Mustangs. Senior midfielder Kristin Medeiros fed a low cross across the box to May, who right in front of the net. The goal was May's second of the season and second consecutive game-winner.
North Texas opened the scoring with a header in the 28th minute to go up 1-0. After the Mustangs responded to tie the game, the Mean Green converted a penalty kick in the 63rd minute to make it 2-1.
SMU moves to 5-2-1 and North Texas is now 5-3-1. The Mustangs handed the Mean Green their first home loss of the season.
SMU played in front of a North Texas crowd record of 1,246 as part of the North Texas Livestrong Game. The Mean Green wore yellow Livestrong jerseys, sold shirts and had a raffle to help benefit Livestrong and the fight against cancer.
