Box Score vs. Davidson 
DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team beat Davidson 3-0 Sunday afternoon at Westcott Field. Jessica Bartol, Kristin Medeiros and Shelby Redman all scored for the Mustangs.
Bartol, a freshman, opened the scoring with a shot from eight yards out in the 26th minute. The goal was the first of her collegiate career as well as the eventual game-winner.
Less than a minute later, senior midfielder Kristin Medeiros collected her first goal of the season when she headed in a corner kick from fellow senior Lauren Shepherd.
In the 50th minute of play, Redman fired a shot from 30 yards out into the far corner of the net. It was her second goal of the season and second in as many games.
The victory was goalkeeper Courtney Webb's third of the season and third shutout. Webb now holds a 0.57 goals-against average on the year.
Davidson's best scoring chance came in the 64th minute. With Webb out of the net after denying Davidson's initial opportunity, defender Katherine Cox stepped in and stopped a shot from five yards out, preserving the shutout for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs move to 3-1-1 on the season as Davidson drops to 2-3-0.
