SMU In Tenth Through First Day At Jerry Pate Intercollegiate

Vestavia Hills, Ala. (SMU) - After rain forced the team to withdraw from the Husky Invitational a week ago, the SMU men's golf team was finally able to get back to competing today. Against a highly competitive field, the Mustangs currently sit in tenth place through two rounds at the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate after shooting a combined 26-over at Old Overton Club.

Max Buckley and Harry Higgs have led SMU, both shooting 2-over. The pair are currently tied for 12th place. Both shot a 70 and 72 in their first two rounds.

The Mustangs' five golfers will tee-off in tomorrow's first five pairings beginning at 8 a.m. CT.
