KAHUKU, O'ahu (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team wrapped up the John Burns Intercollegiate with its low round of the week, at 277, and finished sixth with a 7-under 857 in the 17-team event. SMU was led by Marc Sambol, whose final-round 67 catapulted him to an eighth-place tie.

No. 23 California won the team event at 30-under 834, while Virginia's Ben Kohles won the individual title after a three-way playoff with Cal's Max Homa and Texas A&M's John Hurley, making a six-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole.
