IRVING (C-USA/SMU) - SMU senior Kelly Kraft has been named first-team All-Conference USA for the third straight year, the league office announced today. Kraft, who is ranked No. 69 in the nation, boasts a 72.13 scoring average in 2010-11 and has carded 10 rounds in the 60s this season alone.
Kraft is joined on the All-Conference USA First Team by Rice's Michael Whitehead, 2011 Conference USA medalist Jonathan Fly of Memphis, East Carolina juniors Harold Varner and David Watkins and UCF junior Connor Arendell. Kraft is the lone three-time selection to the first team, while Fly and Watkins are also repeat picks.
Kraft and his Mustang teammates are awaiting word on their NCAA Regional berth, which will be announced May 9.
