Mustangs Close Out The Classic At SMU

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's swimming and diving team placed fifth at The Classic @ SMU in the final day of competition at Perkins Natatorium on Saturday night. Michigan won the event with 315 points, followed by USC (309), Florida (283.50) and North Carolina (266.50). SMU had 245 points. Purdue came in sixth with 236.
Freshman diver Devin Burnett won his second event of The Classic @ SMU with a victory in the three-meter diving event, tallying a score of 350.70.
Junior standout Mindaugas Sadauskas earned runner-up honors in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 44.17. Sadauskas was also the leadoff leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay that came in second, touching the wall in 1:21.71.
The Mustangs compete at TCU in a dual meet on Jan. 19 at 6 p.m.
