Beyond The Net: A Look Inside SMU Volleyball

Hey mustang fans!
It has been a great weekend for SMU Volleyball! We finished this past weekend with two wins against UCONN and Temple, then ranked second in the league alone. Those two wins moved us into a tie with Temple and Tulsa for second place in conference (even more motivation to beat them Wednesday) :) We had a great week of practice and came into the weekend focused and ready to compete. Cailin and Janelle had some amazing kills to get us the win in a close match Sunday, but as always it was a complete team effort!
Sunday was also senior day for Carla, Julianne and I. It was a bittersweet day because although our final season at SMU is almost over, we still have a few matches left and potentially a spot in the NCAA tournament! I cannot believe I have already been a part of SMU Volleyball for four years and that I won't be coming back to play next year with my incredible teammates and coaches. It really has been four amazing years and I think all three of us seniors have truly enjoyed the opportunity to play for SMU.
We will be working hard today to be prepared for the match tomorrow in Moody at 2 p.m. against Tulsa (YOU SHOULD ALL COME AND WATCH BECAUSE IT IS THE LAST TIME SMU VOLLEYBALL WILL BE PLAYING IN MOODY THIS SEASON). As always we are excited and ready to win.
It has been a great four years - but everyone should be ready for all the great things to come from SMU Volleyball in the future!
