Mustangs Host Pre-Conference Time Trials

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's swimming and diving team hosted Oklahoma Baptist in a pre-conference time trial event at Perkins Natatorium on Saturday morning.

"The meet went well and we had some really good performances," Head Coach Steve Collins said. "We had a lot of times that moved individuals up in The American Conference top 10 rankings."

Seniors Monika Babok, Rachel Balke, Lexi Farrar, Deanna Matthews, Alice McCall, Jordan Newman, and Nina Rangelova were honored prior to the start of today's event.

"Our seniors were honored today and I am very proud of them, as well as the rest of the team, for their efforts," Collins added.

The Mustangs are back in action Feb. 19-22 when they travel to Louisville, Ky., for the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship.
