WACO, Texas (SMU) - The 22nd-ranked SMU cross country team finished second at the Bear Twilight Invitational, hosted by Baylor Univeristy, on Friday evening at the HOT Soccer Complex in Waco, Texas. SMU junior Karoline Skatteboe won the race with a time of 13:38.4.

The Mustangs had four other runners place in the top 20.

Sophomore Agnes Sjöström placed sixth with a time of 14:10.4 and junior Holly Archer also cracked the top ten, finishing ninth with a time of 14:15.1. Junior Shanoah Souza and junior Claire Trotter also finished in the top 20. Souza finished in 11th place with a time of 14:20.5 and Trotter came in 19th with a time of 14:50.0.

Host Baylor won the six-team event, finishing just seven points ahead of the Mustangs.

SMU will have a week off before running in the University of Texas-Arlington Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. CT.
