Froling Named To Conference Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (SMU) – Alicia Froling was named to the American Athletic Conference women's basketball weekly honor roll after averaging 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in a pair of home games last week.
The Queensland, Australia, native led the Mustangs with 26 points against TCU, and grabbed 14 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Froling was one shy of matching her career high in both categories. Against No. 18 Arizona State, the sophomore forward scored 12 points, reaching double figures in the fifth straight game, dating back to last season. Froling also had eight rebounds and three blocks.
SMU is 1-2 this season, and hosts its Thanksgiving Classic in Moody Coliseum Friday and Saturday. The Mustangs play Cal State Fullerton in the opener Friday at 5:30 p.m., followed by Kansas and Northern Illinois. The consolation game is scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m., and the championship will follow at 5 p.m.
