Mustangs Post Top Finishes At Fall Invitational

CATOOSA, Okla. (SMU) – The SMU rowing team posted a pair of top-five finishes at the 2015 Fall Invitational on the Verdigris River Friday and Saturday. The Mustangs produced top finishers in the Varsity 8 and the Novice 8.
SMU’s top crew in the Varsity 8+ clocked in at 18:40.9 for a 4th place finish and was followed by a 9th place Mustang crew that finished 20:28.9.
In the Novice 8+, the Ponies earned a 3rd place finish with a time of 20:42.9, beating their time of 22:39.5 earlier in the season at the Head of the Brazos.
In Varsity 1x action, SMU had crews finish 6th (22:28.8), 7th (24:02.2), 8th (25:05.3) and 9th (25:55.9). In Varsity 4 competition, the Mustangs finished 6th with a time of 20:02.4, 11th with a time of 21:26.0, 12th with a time of 22:24.5 and 13th with a time of 23:09.5.
