Froling Named To Conference Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (SMU/AAC) – Alicia Froling was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll for the second time this season after a record-setting performance at then-No. 11 Texas A&M. The sophomore forward tied the SMU single-game record with 21 rebounds against the Aggies.
Froling posted her fifth double-double in eight games this season, scoring 14 points to go with the 21 rebounds. She also had three blocks and two assists. The Queensland, Australia, native is second in The American, averaging 11.9 rebounds per game, and ranks 12th in the league with 13.9 points per game. She is one of just three players in the league averaging a double-double.
The Mustangs play in the Puerto Rico Classic in San Juan Dec. 19-21. SMU plays Arizona Saturday at 12:15 p.m. CT, Gardner-Webb Sunday at 2:30 p.m., and No. 9 Mississippi State Monday at 12:15 p.m. After a break for the Christmas holidays, SMU starts conference play at Tulsa Jan. 2 at 2 p.m. CT.
