Dishkova Named AAC Player Of The Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Junior Hristina Dishkova has been named the American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.
Dishkova's weekend was headlined by a record-breaking performance in doubles with teammate Holly Verner. The duo went 3-0 on the weekend, setting a new school record with 23 single season doubles victories. Dishkova and Verner are 23-4 overall this season, including a perfect 12-0 mark in dual match play.
In singles, Dishkova defeated Emily Olivier in the No. 1 slot in the Mustangs' 4-0 victory over 41st-ranked New Mexico on Friday. The Germany native's singles record now stands at 18-12 this season.
Dishkova makes it back-to-back player of the week awards for SMU, as Dasha Sharapova received the honor last week.
