COMPLETE RESULTS
TORONTO (SMU) -- Seniors Rachel Nicol and Nathalie Lindborg competed at the 2015 Team Canada Trials April 1-4 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Center, with Nicol coming away with spots on Canada's Worlds team and Pan Am team.
Nicol won both the 50- and 100-meter breaststroke to earn herself a roster spot for the Pan Am Games in Toronto July 10-26 and the FINA World Championships July 24-August 9 in Kazan, Russia. Nicol posted a lifetime best 1:08.15 in the 100 event for the win on night two, following a third-place finish in the 200 event on opening night. On night three, the Lethbridge, Alberta, native capped off a successful event with a 31.15, the 50-meter's fastest time.
Sweden-native Lindborg also competed at the event for qualification purposes, posting times in the 50- and 100-meter freestyle. Lindborg finished the events in 25.89 and 56.41 in the `B' Final of both distances. Those times are good for FINA `B' standards and consideration for the World Championships.
