DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's golf team concluded the first two rounds of play at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate Monday, finishing 11th overall at the Royal Oaks Country Club. The Mustangs have a 36-hole score of 33-over-par 743.
"We just didn't not play well today," SMU head coach
Jason Enloe said. "Hopefully we can do better tomorrow and end the fall on a more positive note."
Senior
Andrew Buchanan led the Mustangs with a 4-over 75. He is tied for 38th. Freshman
Daniel Connolly finished one stroke behind Buchanan, posting a 76 (+5). He is tied for 44th overall.
Host school No. 14 Baylor leads the event at 27-under (683), and was the only team to shoot par or better. No. 46 New Mexico is in second at 2-over (356). American Athletic Conference opponent Houston is in third at 4-over (358). Of the 72 players in the field, only 14 managed a score of par or better.
