COLUMBUS, Ohio (SMU) – SMU men's diver
Bryce Klein took home a silver medal at USA Diving Winter National Championships as part of a synchronized 3-meter team that also featured Stanford's Bradley Christensen. The Championships ran Dec. 15-21 at Ohio State's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Klein and Christensen registered a 694.29 after two lists, with scores carrying over from the preliminary round. The Southlake, Texas, duo posted a 334.53 in the opening round.
The pair last competed together at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in June advancing to finals on 3 meter synchro and placing seventh.
In his second final of the event, Klein climbed two spots from semifinal action to place 10th on 3 meter registering a final total of 997.40.
Klein combined for 666.85 points between the first two rounds of 3 meter, which included a preliminary total of 366.55, placing him fifth after the first list.
On day two of the Championships, Klein took on a stacked field in 1 meter action that included Rio Olympians Sam Dorman, Michael Hixon and Steele Johnson. After six rounds, Klein accumulated a total score of 317.25, good for 12th.
