The SMU women's soccer team welcomed six freshmen into the Mustang family, adding Sophie Adler, Hannah Allred, Haley Jackson, Isabelle Nashmi, Katia Novi and Ale Winn. Winn, from Garland, Texas, is the final member in our series introducing fans to these six new Mustangs.
 
Alessandra "Ale" Winn has logged 89 minutes in eight matches for the Mustangs in 2017, with a career-high 19 minutes against Sam Houston State and at Tulsa.
 
Prior to The Hilltop, Winn played club for the Dallas Sting ECNL Composite and at Naaman Forest High School under Joseph Horn. Winn was a member of the Olympic Development Program and U.S. Youth Soccer National League. She was also a '98 North Texas Olympic Development Region III Player Pool in 2009 and 2010, and worked with the '98 Olympic Development Program Region III Camp in Norman, Okla., in 2010. She was a four year letterwinner at Naaman Forest.
 
Why I Chose SMU: I chose SMU because it is close to home, it has a beautiful campus, a great academic program and its great soccer program
