DALLAS (SMU) – Nicole Petchey claimed the No. 4 singles title on the final day of Metroplex Mania at the SMU Tennis Complex.
Petchey went 3-0 over the weekend, including defeating Arizona's Maggie Cohen Sunday, 6-0, 6-3. The freshman is now 5-1 on the season.
Sarai Monarrez Yesaki went 2-1 in the tournament to finish third in the No. 3 singles draw. Yesaki won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, against Georgia State's Damira Muminovic.
SMU will next compete at the ITA Texas Regional Oct. 13-17 in Fort Worth.
