Select Mustangs Head To Austin For American SC Championships

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's swimming and diving team will send 12 members to the American Short Course Championships March 2-4 held at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.

Event prelims will begin at 9:30 a.m. CT each day with finals beginning at 6 p.m. Live results can be found on the Meet Mobile App by searching "2017 American Short Course Champs".

The Mustangs are coming off a runner-up finish at the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championships Feb. 15-18. SMU swept conference awards with Jonathan Gomez taking home Most Outstanding Swimmer honors and Bryce Klein earning the award on the diving side. Klein will compete at the NCAA Zone Championships, while selected Mustangs will compete at the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships March 22-25, pending qualifcation.
