DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU track and field team opens the 2018 indoor season on Friday with the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

SMU will be one of ten teams to compete Friday. The Mustangs will compete against athletes from Arkansas, Coffeyville CC, Kansas, Missouri, Missouri State, New Orleans, Oklahoma Christian, Oral Roberts, SMU and Tulsa.

Field events begin at 1 p.m. with high jump, while track events start with the 400-meter dash at 3:15 p.m. Live results can be found at http://www.flashresults.com/2018_Meets/Indoor/01-12_ArkInvite/.

Following the Arkansas Invitational, the Mustangs visit Lubbock, Texas for the Texas Tech Raider Invitational on Friday, Jan. 19. SMU has not competed in a meet at Texas Tech since 2013.
