BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas (SMU) -- Eleven personal bests were produced at Texas A&M's Charlie Thomas Invitational this weekend, including a new school record time.  

Macey Hilton already topped the list for the mile at SMU, but she lowered her school record today with a time of 4:41.23. She placed second in today's competition. Then, she continued her weekend of personal bests in the 800, running 2:08.14 -- the second fastest in program history. Paulina Kiscilinska produced personal best times in both events as well. Isabel Breaux had a PR in the mile, and Lena Suchowolak ran her best time in the 800. 

Kirin Chacchia ran a blazing 54.23 in the 400 -- tying the fourth fastest time in program history — and Haylie Donovan ran 54.89 to tie the seventh fastest time. 

In the long jump, Cleo Martin-Evans jumped 6.24m -- her furthest jump yet. She placed third in the competition. Hedda Kvalvag had a season's best jump of 12.57m in the triple jump. 

The first pentathlon of the year brought personal bests and season bests for Renee Finke and Brentley Preston. Finke cleared 1.68m in the high jump and Preston cleared 1.62m -- both seasons' best. In the shot put, they both produced PRs – 12.40m for Finke and 8.06m for Preston. Overall, Finke posted a score of 3,041 for 18th and Preston placed 21st with 2,578. 

To conclude an exciting meet, the 4x400 relay made up of Haylie Donovan, Chacchia, Magnolia Crissup and Ariana Sutton ran 3:38.88, which is the second-fastest in SMU's history. 

"This weekend showed exactly where our program is headed—season bests and personal bests across multiple event groups, with athletes continuing to raise their competitive ceiling," Coach Austin Brobst said. "From top-10 marks to strong relay execution, the progress we're seeing reflects the consistency of our training translating to our performances." 

The Mustangs will compete next weekend in both Boston and New Mexico.
