AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) – SMU finished seventh in the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational after shooting a 42-over 906 at UT Golf Club in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.

SMU competed in a field that included nine teams ranked in the top 50 by Golfstat. The Mustangs finished ahead of two of those teams, including No. 41 Texas A&M and No. 40 Colorado.

"Today was a disappointing final round for us," said Head Coach Jeanne Sutherland. "We played hard in tough conditions the first two days and put ourselves in a good position. We need to improve from 100 yards and in and learn to stay with our game plans. We are looking forward to hosting our home event at Trinity Forest next Monday and Tuesday and allowing today to motivate better play next week."

Brigitte Dunne led the Mustangs and turned in her scorecard with seven birdies, six-over 222 on the tournament to tie for 21st.

Sophomore Kennedy Pedigo carded a two-over 74, her best round of the tournament, as she finished tied for 30th at 10-over.
