The SMU women's basketball team hosts Lubbock Christian in an exhibition game Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission is five dollars. The Mustangs have seven freshmen on the 2018-19 roster, and senior Alicia Froling, a three-time All-American Athletic Conference honoree, returns after missing last season due to injury.

Lubbock Christian went 31-2 last season, including a 14-0 record in the Heartland Conference. The Mustangs advanced to the third round of the WNIT in 2016-17 in Travis Mays' first season. Sophomore Ariana Whitfield was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team, scoring 7.9 points per game with 65 assists, second on the team.

The season officially starts Nov. 9 at 11:30 a.m. in Moody Coliseum against UL Monroe. It is the program's third annual Education Day. Season tickets are available by calling the SMU ticket office at 214-SMU-GAME (214-768-4263) or by going to www.SMUMustangs.com/tickets.
