WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. (SMU) – Three Mustangs finished in the top-25 at the Southwestern Invitational, including freshman
Noah Goodwin, who finished tied for fifth overall. SMU climbed two spots on the final day to finish sixth overall in the 15-team field.
Goodwin finished the two-day event at even par (74-71-71—216) after pacing the Mustangs with 1-under 71s in both the second and third rounds. Following the second round, the Corinth, Texas, native, climbed four spots on the leaderboard to finish the tournament.
After closing out the second round at 4-over (76),
Jackson Markham carded a 1-under 71 in the third round to climb three positions and finish tied for 12th overall (+3, 72-76-71).
McClure Meissner finished tied for 21st overall, finishing at 7-over par (223, 75-73-75). The freshman carded a 1-over 73 in round two, before shooting a three-over 75 in the final round.
