Box Score DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's tennis team fell to No. 41 Memphis, 4-1, Sunday at the SMU Tennis Complex. The Mustangs fall to 5-8 overall, 0-1 in the American, and the Tigers improve to 6-3 overall, 1-0 in the American.
The Mustangs jumped to an early lead by claiming the doubles point. After losing on court two, SMU earned a 6-4 victory at No. 1 behind

Charles Nettlefold and
Roberto Rosales battled to a tiebreak at No. 3, ultimately winning 7-6 (4).
SMU's momentum slowed in singles play, with four matches lost in straight sets.
Michael Smith was defeated by Felix Rauch, 6-3, 6-1. Andrew Watson then defeated Nettlefold at No. 2, 6-0, 6-3. Vaise lost 6-1, 6-3 to Memphis' Kai Lemke.
Vrbsky faced his fourth nationally-ranked opponent of the season in No. 54 Ryan Peniston. The freshman fell, 6-3, 6-1, to clinch the match for the Tigers.
The Mustangs return to action on Monday, March 12, for a doubleheader against Priarie View A&M. Matches are slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
