DALLAS (SMU) – Mustang sophomore Andrea Podmanikova is set to compete at the 2018 European Championships held in Glasgow, Scotland, Aug. 3-9 at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.

Podmanikova, who was the Mustangs' top breaststroker in 2018, is on the entry list for the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events. Preliminary events begin at 9:15 a.m. local time (3:15 a.m. CT), and finals open at 4:45 p.m. (10:45 a.m. CT).

A 2018 NCAA qualifier in both breaststroke events, Podmanikova won the American Athletic Conference title in the 200-yard distance. She also picked up all-conference honors in the 100 distance and as part of the 200 free, 200 medley and 400 medley relays. Podmanikova ranks second on SMU's all-time performer list in the 200 breast and third in the 100.
