The SMU men's swimming and diving team hosts No. 10 Texas A&M Friday at 6 p.m. at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium. Friday will serve as Senior Night for six Mustangs – Garrett Carson, Simon Golczyk, Trey Kilbride, Kianu Kitching, Carson Klein and Lucas Schenke.

Fans can watch the action live, including the pre-event senior ceremony, starting at 5:50 p.m. on PonyUp TV. Live results can also be found on SMUMustangs.com and on the Meet Mobile App ($).

SMU is 3-1 in dual action this season with a pair of wins over Loyola New Orleans, and a home victory over TCU. On the diving side, Parker Hardigree has achieved an NCAA Zone qualifying score on 1 meter. The Mustangs were also recently rewarded for their success in the classroom by being named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team. SMU posted a 3.11 grade-point-average during the fall semester.

No. 10 Texas A&M is 4-3 in dual action with wins over then-No. 11 Louisville, TCU, Incarnate Word and LSU. The Aggies also took home the team title at the Art Adamson Invite in November. Texas A&M currently posts 40 times under the NCAA B standard and has five times that rank among the top 16 nationally. Three divers have also met the NCAA's zone qualifying score in at least one event.

In the 2017-18 meeting, then-No. 9 Texas A&M defeated the Mustangs in College Station. Ralph Koo led the Mustangs in sprint freestyle events, finishing third in both the 50 (21.14) and 100 (46.13), while Stephen Cheng was third in the 200-yard backstroke at 1:49.96.

SMU's 400-yard freestyle relay team picked up its best group performance of the evening, finishing second as Matthew NutterNick Badsky, Koo and Lucas Schenke covered the distance in 3:05.36.

This will be the final regular season scored event, with SMU hosting a pre-conference time trial event Feb. 9. The American Athletic Conference Championships take place Feb. 27-March 2 in Indianapolis, Indiana, and NCAA action kicks off with Zone Diving March 11-13.
