Four Mustang swimmers head to Atlanta for the Toyota U.S. Open Championships Dec. 4-7 at the Georgia Tech McAuley Aquatic Center. Felicia Anderson, Gabi Grobler, Olivia Grossklaus and Erin Trahan will compete among the world's fastest at the National Championship event.

The field includes 27 Olympic medalists, who have earned 69 medals, and 1,100 swimmers who have already qualified for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

Both Trahan and Grossklaus will compete in butterfly events, with Trahan adding the 50-meter freestyle to her schedule, while Anderson and Grobler are set for backstroke competition, with Grobler also in the 200 IM.

Trahan and Anderson competed at the Phillips 66 National Championships in August. Trahan posted a personal best in the 200-meter butterfly, finishing in 2:17.71, and was just off the qualifying standard in the 100 at 1:01.39. Anderson was less than a second away from the 100 back qualifying time at 1:03.24 and clocked in at 2:17.14 in the 200 back.

As a team, the Mustangs are coming off a second place finish at the SMU Invitational. Trahan (100 fly, 200 fly), Grobler (200 IM) and Anderson (100 back) all posted NCAA B standard times to lead the Mustangs at the event. They will compete at the Elite Pro-Am in Lewisville, Dec. 19-20, before returning to NCAA competition as a team Jan. 9 against Texas A&M.
