ATLANTA (SMU) – Four swimmers represented the Mustangs at the Toyota U.S. Open Championships in Atlanta Dec. 4-7 at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Senior
Felicia Anderson earned the highest placement of the Mustangs competing, finishing 28th in the 200-meter backstroke heats in a time of 2:17.02. Anderson also finished in the top half of the field in the 100, at 41st, in a time of 1:03.36.
Junior
Gabi Grobler also competed in backstroke events, finishing 81st in the 200 back (2:20.83). She was also tied for 80th in the 200 IM (2:20.22).
Senior
Erin Trahan led the Mustangs butterfly duo with a 38th place finish in the 200, covering the distance in 2:17.73. She also finished top 50 in the 100, coming in at 49th in a time of 1:01.49.
Olivia Grossklaus was 47th in the 200 fly (2:18.60) and 86th in the 100 (1:02.89).
SMU is back in action Dec. 19-20 for the Elite Pro-AM in Lewisville, Texas.
