NEW ORLEANS (SMU) – SMU women's golf senior Brigitte Dunne played her best round of the tournament, hitting two over par in the third and final round, to finish with a share of 38th at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Golf Championship. Dunne was in the top five for scoring on par-threes for the tournament.

SMU finished in 16th in their toughest field this season, playing against nine top-25 teams. The Mustangs carded a three-round total of 929, for a 65-over finish.

Sophomore Kennedy Pedigo also played her best round of the tournament, matching Dunne's two over par for the day, and finishing 21-over for the tournament.
  
Sophomore Lauren Chappell finished the tournament on a high note carding a birdie on her final hole and finishing at 19-over. Junior Faith Summers shot 20-over for the tournament. Junior Ana Paula Ramirez carded 240, hitting 24-over par.

No. 3 Texas took home the team title shooting 876, 12-over par. Leonie Harm of Houston and Addison Baggarly of Florida each took a share of the individual title finishing at par.

The Ponies travel to The Woodlands, Texas next week for the Icon Invitational on Feb. 25-26.
