    UC Davis is in its inaugural season in the NCEA, and this Friday will be the first meeting of the two schools. The Aggies are currently 1-1, while the Mustangs' record stands at 6-2. SMU remains undefeated at home this season and looks to advance their conference record and home winning streak in UEC play.

   The Red & Blue is led by the team's Reining and Equitation Over Fences squads, who have both notched four event wins each.

    The Mustangs have clinched 20 conference honors, including UEC Rider of the Week recognition every week they've competed, along with two UEC Rider of the Month awards to go along with a Horse of the Month nod from the NCEA.

    SMU Equestrian riders have garnered 24 MOPs on the season. Additionally, there are four undefeated individual riders, as well as the winningest rider in program history, on the current roster.

    With three meets left before the postseason, including a matchup in the Metroplex at No. 8 TCU (March 9) and a home contest against No. 1 Auburn (March 2) at the Dallas Equestrian Center, the team continues to prepare for the conference tournament (March 22-23) and NCEA National Championship in April (April 16-20).

MOP MAGIC 
SMU riders have represented the team in Most Outstanding Player selections in every meet this season. The Mustangs have had multiple MOP award winners in all but two meets. Mustangs earned four MOPs against Fresno State and DSU, three over TCU, two facing South Carolina, Texas A&M and OSU, and one each in meets versus Georgia and Sweet Briar College.
Holly Lansidel and Vivian Yowan have three MOPs apiece, while Nora Gray, Ashley Mauney and Devin Seek each have a pair of MOP honors.

-Nora Gray has gone 7-1 in Equitation Over Fences. With her wins at Texas A&M, team captain Gray rose to become the winningest rider in school history. 
-A two-event athlete along with Gray, Tali DeJong, Olivia Woodson, Devin Seek and Aubrey Alderman, Vivian Yowan is 6-0-1 in Equitation on the Flat.
-Alexandra Murphy is 2-0 in Equitation on the Flat.
-Devin Seek is undefeated on the flat, 1-0, and has only one loss in Equitation Over Fences, 4-1-1.
-Olivia Woodson, undefeated in Equitation on the Flat, 2-0, and has only one loss over fences, 4-1-1.
