ORLANDO, Fla. (SMU) – Senior Brigitte Dunne led the team at the Eagle Creek Golf Club finishing 15th, while the Mustangs finished 13th at the UCF Challenge.
Dunne concluded the tournament carding 3-under, eight strokes behind the leader, Anna Backman of Miami.

As a team, the Mustangs posted a 54-hole 11-over 875, competing against nine schools ranked in the top 50 on Golfstat. The Ponies ranked first in scoring on par threes.
 
"We played better today," said Jeanne Sutherland. "We have a lot of work to do with our scoring clubs and our course management. This will be a clear guide to our work in the next ten days. This team will get it done."

Kennedy Pedigo came into the day at par and finished even for the tournament carding no bogeys in the final round. The sophomore's performance put her up 8 spots on the leaderboard to finish with a share of 26th.

Ana Paula Ramirez finished the third round with her best score of the competition at 1-over. The junior ended the tournament at 6-over par (T-68).
Lauren Chappell, Faith Summers and Sophie DiGesualdo (competing individually) all held a share of 87th shooting 13-over.   

No. 6 Vanderbilt took home the team title after shooting 23 under 841, and Anna Backman from Miami won the individual title after carding 11-under 205.

The Red and Blue are back in action on February 17 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at the English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans.
