Holloway Team USA Bio

INDIANAPOLIS (USA Diving/SMU) -- Mustang freshman Johanna Holloway was named to the 2019 High Performance Tier Three Squad, as announced by the USA Diving High Performance department Thursday. The High Performance Tier Three Squad is made up of divers who most exhibit the potential, skill and determination to become future U.S. Olympic Team members. 

A two-time member of the of the FINA World Junior Championships team (2016 & 2018), Holloway has competed in 3 meter and platform events in International competition. In 2018, Holloway placed sixth on synchronized platform at the FINA World Junior Diving Championships in Kiev, Ukraine, and 10th on platform as an individual. Nationally, she was second on platform at the 2018 USA Diving Junior National Championships, and eighth at the Senior National event. In 2016, she competed at U.S. Olympic Team Trials, placing 18th on platform and fifth on synchro. For more National and International results click here.

In her first collegiate season, Holloway qualified for the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on 1 meter, 3 meter and platform. She advanced to platform finals and finished 10th, the best finish for a Mustang diver since 2010. At the American Athletic Conference Championships, Holloway finished second on platform to earn All-Conference honors, and was fifth in the 3 meter Championship Final. 

The squad consists of 43 divers and features two members that represented Team USA at the Summer Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018. The roster also includes nine members, including Holloway, who competed on the 2018 FINA Junior World Championships squad.
