DALLAS (SMU) – Mustang Parker Hardigree travels to Indianapolis, Indiana, to compete at the 2019 USA Diving Senior National Qualifier May 16-17 at the IU Natatorium. The event will determine additional qualifiers for the Senior National Championships held May 19-26 at the same location.

Hardigree is slated to compete on 3 meter, with preliminary action beginning at 10 a.m. ET/9 a.m. CT Thursday.

The Senior National Championships serve as the selection event for divers to qualify for the 2019 Pan American Games Team, the 2019 World Championships Team and selected Grand Prix competitions.

The American Athletic Conference Diver and Co-Freshman of the Year closed out his freshman campaign as an NCAA Zone qualifier on both 1 and 3 meter. He earned his highest placement of the event on 3 meter, finishing 22nd, and was 24th on 1 meter. At the conference championships, he posted career-best scores to win both events, while also taking home third on platform.

Hardigree competed at the event as an incoming freshman in 2018 and qualified for Senior Nationals on 1 and 3 meter. In a field full of Olympic medalists and U.S. and NCAA Champions, he finished 18th on 1 meter and 27th on 3 meter.
