COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CSCAA/SMU) – The SMU women's swimming and diving team had six student-athletes earn College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors, the organization announced Tuesday.

Erin Trahan and
Andrea Podmanikova led the way for the Mustangs, while
Katie Crown,
Olivia Grossklaus,
Johanna Holloway and
Taylor Ohlhauser were also recognized.
To be selected as a member of the CSCAA Scholar All-America first team as an individual, swimmers and divers must have achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.
The six selections match the most for the Mustangs in a decade, equaling the total from 2009.
Erin Trahan | Art, Mathematics Minor
Trahan competed in three events at the NCAA Championships, after earning American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Performer Honors in 2019. Her career-best times and three individual championships posted at the conference meet placed her in the top three of SMU's all-time top performer lists in the 100 (51.92) and 200 fly (1:56.44), and in the top 10 of the 50 free (22.53).
Overall, Trahan has five conference championships on her resume, and adds 14 all-conference honors. This is her third Scholar All-America honor.
Andrea Podmanikova | Undeclared
Podmanikova represented SMU in breaststroke events at the NCAA Championships, following wins at the AAC meet. She set the SMU program record in the 200 distance at 2:08.66, and her 100 time ranks third on SMU's all-time top performer list at 59.68.
A two-time NCAA participant, Podmanikova has won four conference championships and has 10 all-conference selections.
Olivia Grossklaus | Undeclared
In her first year on the Hilltop, Grossklaus landed on SMU's all-time top performers list in the 200-yard butterfly. She sits eighth on the list at 1:58.17 and posted a runner-up performance at the conference championships.
Katie Crown | Accounting
Crown is a two-time NCAA Zone qualifier for the Mustangs and now has a pair of Scholar All-America honors to her name. This season, she set the AAC meet record on 1 meter to win the conference championship, while also posting a career best on 3 meter at the event. At NCAA Zone Championships, Crown was the first Mustang since 2010 to advance to a final, finishing 12th in 1 meter prelims.
Johanna Holloway | Undeclared
Holloway posted NCAA Zone qualifying scores in all three events for the Mustangs this season. She finished 10th on platform at Zones, the highest placement for an SMU diver since 2010. At the AAC Championships, Holloway earned all-conference honors on platform with a second place finish.
Taylor Ohlhauser | Applied Physiology and Health Management, Business Minor
Ohlhauser qualified for her first NCAA Zone Championships in 2019 after earning qualifying marks on 1 and 3 meter. The sophomore posted career-high scores in all three events this season.
The Mustangs were honored with CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors following the spring and fall semesters, posting GPAs of 3.49 and 3.39, respectively. Additionally, the program was one of three at SMU to earn NCAA Public Recognition Awards for academic excellence after scoring in the top 10 percent of their sports in the most recent Academic Progress Rates (APR).
