The Mustang divers open 2020 at the Tennessee Diving Invitational Friday through Sunday at the Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville.
All four Mustang divers have already achieved at least one NCAA Zone qualifying score for the 2020 Championships, while three of the four have met the standard in two of three events. Katie Crown and Taylor Ohlhauser have qualifying scores on 1 and 3 meter, Johanna Holloway on 3 meter and platform and Nicole Stambo on 1 meter.
Stambo is the Mustangs' top performer on 1 meter this season, winning the event in each of SMU's dual meets in 2019 and finishing second at both the SMU Classic and SMU Invitational. On 3 meter, Crown picked up a victory at the double dual with LSU and UNT and earned runner-up honors at the Mustangs' invite. Holloway won the lone platform event of the season for SMU.
