The Mustangs host No. 1 Texas on Friday for Senior Day at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium. Six seniors will be honored prior to the event. The senior ceremony begins at 3:45 p.m. with action to follow at 4 p.m.
The meet will stream live on PonyUp TV with results available at SMUMustangs.com and DiveMeets, as well as on the Meet Mobile App.
Mustang Seniors
Prior to Friday's meet, SMU will honor seniors Reid Anderson, Duncan Brookover, Nathan Ciatti, Ralph Koo, Matan Segal and Arthur Yuen for their contributions to the program.
Last Time Out
The Mustangs fell on the road to No. 5 Texas A&M on Jan. 31. Stephen Cheng led SMU with his third straight win in the 200 back and also placed third in the 100.
Matan Segal posted runner-up finishes in both backstroke races, while Cole Fleming (butterfly) and Caleb Rhodenbaugh (breaststroke) registered top-three finishes in both distances of their respective events.
Colin Feehery placed second in the 200 IM and third in the 100 breast, and Charlie Kaye (50 free) and Petar Bozhilov (1,000 free) earned third-place finishes.
Both Mustang relays earned runner-up honors on the night.
Scouting The Longhorns
Texas is a perfect 8-0 in dual meets this season and is currently ranked No. 1 in the CSCAA Top 25 Poll. The Longhorns are coming off wins over No. 11 Arizona and No. 13 Arizona State. Swimmers have produced 14 NCAA automatic qualifying times so far this season, with six times leading the nation in individual events. Texas also holds the NCAA's fastest time in three relays.
In The Rankings
The Mustangs last two opponents have been ranked inside the top five of the CSCAA Top 25 Poll, with Friday's opponent Texas coming in at No. 1 and Texas A&M (Jan. 31) ranking No. 5.
Academic Excellence
The Mustangs were recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team for their fall semester GPAs. To earn Scholar All-America team honors, programs must achieve a 3.0 grade-point-average during the previous semester.

The men finished the semester with a 3.28 GPA, marking an improvement for the Mustangs from the 3.21 from spring of 2019 and the 3.11 from fall of 2018. The 3.28 was the highest GPA posted of any men's program in the American Athletic Conference last fall.
Against The League
Daniel Forndal leads the conference in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles, while Caleb Rhodenbaugh has the fastest time in the 200-yard breaststroke and Colin Feehery in the 400-yard individual medley. In all, SMU holds six times in the top three of individual events and 34 times in the top eight. In relay action, the Mustangs have the league's fastest 400 free relay time and second fastest time in both medley relays behind ECU.

Seven Mustangs currently account for eight spots on SMU's all-time top-10 performer lists, including four in the 200-yard breaststroke.
