Cash Scores 25 in Mustang Loss To Cincinnati

DALLAS (SMU) - Johnasia Cash had a career day with 25 points, 12 rebounds in the Mustangs' 73-58 loss to Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon at Moody Coliseum.
 
Cash topped her career high in points in the matchup, hitting 11-of-16 from the field. The junior also tied a career high with four blocks. It was Cash's ninth double-double of the season.
 
Reagan Bradley broke the SMU single-season freshman assist record with a five-assist performance, topping Tomi Hollis' previous mark of 95 set back in 1982-83.
 
SMU held an early edge in the first half, but a Cincinnati run to close the half put the Bearcats up one at the intermission.
 
Cincinnati began the third quarter on a 16-0 scoring run, proving to be too big a lead for the Mustangs to overcome.
                                             
Kayla White finished second on the team with nine points while JaQuia White contributed three steals. The Mustang offense assisted on 16 of 23 made baskets. Six different Mustangs finished with a multi-assist day.
 
SMU returns to Moody on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. tip against East Carolina.
