CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (SMU) – Ashley Chow signed for an even-par 72 in the third round to climb four spots on the individual leaderboard and finish tied for 29th at the Tar Heel Invite Sunday.

The sophomore put together a pair of rounds at par in the tournament for a three-round 1-over 217. She also led the team with 10 birdies. It was her second top-30 finish of the season after finishing tied for 20th at the season-opening Badger Invitational.

Serena Shah (73-73-76—221) was consistent in the Mustang lineup in the first two rounds, before closing out action 4-over on the final 18 to finish tied for 52nd at +6.

Kennedy Pedigo played her best round of the tournament on Sunday, finishing 1-over for a 12-over 228. Maddi Olson matched her three-round total, signing for her best round at even par on Saturday.

Katie James rounded out the group at +13 for the weekend.

SMU finished 16th as a team at 25-over 889.

No. 11 Wake Forest won the event at 17-under 847. Clemson finished second at -7, while Virginia Tech was -5 for third.

The Mustangs return to action in the spring when they take on the field at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Feb. 13-15.
