The SMU men's swimming and diving team hosts the SMU Invitational Thursday-Saturday at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium. Competition will take place during three seasons each day, with live video available on PonyUp TV and results on SMUMustangs.com, the Meet Mobile App and Dive Meets.

Finals
Swimming finals will include four heats of each individual event; two Bonus, Consolation and Championship Final. Eight divers will advance to each final.
Last Time Out
The Mustangs defeated UIW and Oklahoma Christian in double-dual action on Oct. 30, winning 12 of 16 events. Colin Feehery hit an NCAA B cut in the 400 IM, and Dominic Hoefer and Tyler Coffey registered NCAA Zone qualifying marks.
SMU picked up wins from Petar Bozhilov (1,000 free), Russell Exum (200 free), Cole Bruns (100 back), Wyatt Welch (200 fly), Justin Baker (100 free), Rob McCall (200 back), Brayden Rudd (200 breast), Feehery (400 IM), Hoefer (1 meter) and Coffey (3 meter). They also won the 200 medley and 200 free relays.
Conference Favorites
Colin Feehery and Dominic Hoefer swept the first American Athletic Conference Weekly honors of 2021-22 for the Mustangs.
Feehery helped lead Mustang swimmers in a 2-1 dual-meet weekend, winning four individual events and posting three NCAA B cuts.
On the diving side, Hoefer registered an event win, two runner-up performances and came in above the NCAA Zone qualifying mark in all four events competed on the weekend.
Making The Cut
Colin Feehery has already hit NCAA B marks in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 400 IM, while Parker Hardigree and Dominic Hoefer have NCAA Zone scores on both 1 and 3 meter and Tyler Coffey joins on 3 meter.
Champs!
The Mustangs brought home the team championship at the 2021 AAC Meet. The title was the 42nd in program history and first in The American. SMU swept individual awards and 19 swimmers and divers earned all-conference accolades.
Daniel Forndal won Most Outstanding Swimmer, Peter Smithson won Most Outstanding Diver, Lance Butler was named the Freshman of the Year and the staff swept diving and overall Staff of the Year honors.
The Mustangs lead the league in 10 of 13 individual swimming events this season.
All-American Returners
Six members of the SMU men's swimming and diving program earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors for their work in the pool and in the classroom following the 2020-21 season. The list includes current Mustangs Parker Hardigree, Connor Dalbo, Jack Easton, Dominic Hoefer and Brayden Rudd.
To be selected as a member of the CSCAA Scholar All-America first team as an individual, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.

Holt Hickman Outdoor Pool Is Coming To The Hilltop
With a $2.5M gift from the Hickman family, SMU will soon break ground for a new eight-lane, 50-meter by 25-yard outdoor pool, with 1- and 3-meter diving boards. The $11M project will also include a 20-foot by 40-foot instructional pool that will be used for lessons and rehab/therapy. The addition of the outdoor pool will complete the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center, making SMU the only University in the country with both indoor and outdoor Olympic pools in one facility, further cementing SMU's swimming and diving facility as one of the finest in college athletics.
American Championships Return to Dallas
For the second consecutive year, SMU will host the American Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. The event is set to take place Feb. 16-19, 2022 at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.
