SMU women's tennis heads to Florida for a pair of conference matches facing USF on Friday and No. 18Â UCF on Sunday.

Winners of 10 of their last 11 matches, the Mustangs look to stay unbeaten in conference during their two-game road swing. SMU is fresh off a 4-0 sweep of UTA, dealing the Lady Mavs each of their only two losses on the season.

Hadley Doyle and
Jackie Nylander were ranked No. 30 in the latest ITA doubles ranking. The pairing have a 9-2 record, all at line one including a ranked win in the Mustangs' victory over Tulane.

-Nylander entered the ITA singles ranking for the first time on Wednesday. The sophomore came in at No. 68. She has a 9-6 record on the season while playing solely at line one. During the previous week, Nylander was named AAC Player of the Week after she posted three line one wins along with a 2-1 doubles record including a ranked victory.

Hadley Doyle leads the Mustang with 14 singles win this season. She has won her last nine decisions. Doyle was named American Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week after she knocked off No. 83 of LSU. She posted another ranked win in the Mustangs latest victory over Tulane. She added another ranked win against Tulane.

Winslow Huth tops all Mustang freshman with six singles wins on the season. Recently, she has teamed withÂ
Nicole Petchey for a 4-3 record in doubles. Huth has a 3-0 record in conference singles action.

Avery Hilbig made her Mustang singles debut during the previous week during March and helped the Mustangs during their six match winning streak. The freshman has posted a 3-1 record in singles.

Chandler Carter paired up midseason as the Mustangs No. 2 doubles pairing. The duo have a perfect 5-0 record, second on the team.

Claudia Bartolome is tied for third on the team with nine singles wins this season with victories at each of the top five lines. She has won three straight matches.
 -SMU has posted a 11-6 record at line one singles and a 25-11 mark at the top two lines. In doubles, the Mustangs have a 12-6 record at line one.

 - All seven Mustang losses are against teams currently ranked in the ITA top-32, No. 2 Texas, No. 7 Baylor, No. 12 LSU, , No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 22 Arkansas No. 30 Oklahoma and No. 32 Texas Tech.

ABOUT SOUTH FLORIDA
The Bulls have a 6-9 record during the 2021 season, with seven losses coming against ranked opponents. In their last match, the Bulls narrowly defeated Central Arkansas, 4-3 in Tampa. USF wraps up its regular season over the next six games with four conference matches.

The Knights are ranked 18
th in the latest ITA Ranking. They have a 10-3 ranking and have also won 10 of 11 matches after starting the season with two losses to No. 16 Wake Forest and No. 8 NC State. The Knights other loss came to No. 2 Texas. They have piled up two ranked wins over Florida along with a win against No. 24 Furman Valeriya Zeleva is ranked No. 25 in the country in singles, the highest singles ranking in UCF history. Along with Zeleva, Rebeka Stomar is ranked No. 33 and Evgenniya Levashova is ranked No. 93. The doubles duo of Stomar & Mattel is ranked No. 32.

ITA REGION ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Jackie Nylander was named the 2020 Texas Region Rookie of the Year by the ITA. Nylander was a key contributor to SMU's shortened 9-5 season, playing on court one in both singles and doubles winning three ranked matchups. She was also named SMU Female Newcomer of the Year. Nylander was the first Mustang to earn the ITA honor.Â
NCAA APR Award
SMU Women's Tennis earned a Public Recognition Award for its latest multi-year NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rates (APR). The program earned the award for scoring in the top 10 percent nationally for its sport through the 2018-19 academic year (data from 2015-16 through 2018-19). The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation, and provides a measure of each team's academic performance. SMU has 16 APR Public Recognition Awards since the 2004-05 academic year.
