HUMBLE, Texas – The SMU women's golf team completes the regular season at the Lone Star Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston, April 12-13.

The event features a six-team field that includes No. 14 Baylor, BYU, Kansas, Texas State and Tulane, plus four individuals from No. 20 Houston. The event was moved to the Golf Club of Houston after damage from the winter storm affected course conditions at the previous host course.

Kennedy Pedigo leads the Mustangs in stroke average at 74.78 entering the event, and has three top-25 finishes this season. She had a fourth-place finish at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational (March 9-10) for her best result of the season, shooting +6.

Serena Shah enters having posted the Mustangs' best round of the season, a 5-under 67 in the first round of the previous event, The Bruzzy (March 28-29). Shah's best finish of the season came in the tournament prior to that, a T17th at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate (March 14-16). Shah is second on the squad with a 76.60 stroke average.

Nicole Vivier is the only freshman in the lineup for the Mustangs at the Lone Star Invitational, having previously started as many as three in the same event. Vivier tied for 11th at the season-opening Trinity Forest Invitational (Feb. 1-2), shooting a first-round 70 and final-round 68.

Sophie DiGesualdo makes just her second appearance of the season, competing for the first time since the Trinity Forest Invitational. DiGesualdo heads to the par 72 / 6,247-yard Golf Club of Houston looking for her second career top-10 finish.

Lauren Chappell is competing in her fifth event this season, looking to improve upon her season-best T38th finish at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate. Megan Daleo enters the event as an individual, having finished T49th in her other event this season, the Trinity Forest Invitational.

The Mustangs tee off at 8 a.m. Monday for 36 holes of continuous play. The 54-hole event concludes Tuesday with a final round. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.
