LIVE SCORING 

DALLAS – SMU men's tennis will be taking on Texas Tech this Saturday. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. CT at Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex. The Mustangs improved to 3-0 last time out, winning a tight 4-3 match over Purdue.

SMU last faced Texas Tech in 2016. Facing the Red Raiders, the Mustangs have won their last three matches, are 3-0 all-time at home, and are 9-3 overall.
 
Sophomores Julian Steinhausen and Liam Krall are coming off doubles and singles victories on Saturday. The two paired up to win SMU's only doubles match, before splitting to win decisive points for the Mustangs in their singles contests. Adam Neff was the only SMU singles player to win in straight sets, taking his match 6-3, 6-3.
 
Saturday is SMU's Match of the Month and will feature Mi Cocina, free for the first 100 fans through the gates. Fans are encouraged to wear blue in support of the Mustangs!

"We are really excited for this Match of the Month on Saturday as we host Texas Tech. This is going to be a great test against a very strong team. Texas Tech was top 25 in the country last season and did really well in their conference. We're looking forward to seeing where we measure up on a national level. As Match of the Month, I know it will be very well attended. Hopefully we can get a great crowd. Mustang nation we need you to be there to help your home team. I'm looking forward to another incredible college match this Saturday."

ABOUT TEXAS TECH
The Red Raiders finished last season ranked No. 24 in the nation. They are coming off back-to-back season-opening wins against Abilene Christian and Texas-Rio Grande Valley. In the doubleheader, the Red Raiders only dropped one set, winning 6-1 and 7-0. They are led by junior Isaac Arevalo and senior Ilgiz Valiev.
