DALLAS (SMU) – Two-time defending American Athletic Conference Champion SMU rowing announced the 2022-23 schedule Wednesday.
Duals against Texas – the defending NCAA Champion - and runner-up Stanford highlights the Mustangs schedule. SMU and the Longhorns meet for a scrimmage at Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas, Nov. 13.
The Mustangs open the regular season with a two-day dual, hosting Texas March 10-11 at White Rock Lake. It is the second year in a row the two squads lifted the lid on the spring slate against each other in Dallas. Texas won a second straight NCAA Championship in 2022, finishing ranked No. 1 nationally.
SMU travels to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla., in the Big Ten Invitational April 5-8.
The Mustangs head to Redwood City, Calif., April 29-30 for a showdown with Stanford. The Cardinal finished second overall at the 2022 NCAA Championships, tied for first place in points with Texas.
They travel to Melton Lake, Oak Ridge, Tenn., May 14, seeking to claim a third-straight American Athletic Conference Championship.
The 2022-23 NCAA Championships take place May 26-28 at Cooper River, Pennsauken, N.J.
