Returning from an injury that sidelined her for five weeks, TK Pitts accounted for four points and three steals. Jiya Perry made her first-career start, marking the first time the Mustangs (9-4, 0-1 AAC) starting five included a pair of freshmen since Head Coach Toyelle Wilson arrived on the Hilltop.

After a slow start mired the Mustangs in a 13-7 hole, the Cougars nudged the margin out to double-digits with five minutes remaining before halftime.
